Along with 3 other committee members I’m organising a Snow Ball on Saturday 1st December 2012 at The Grange in Radcliffe on Trent. It’s a charity event in aid of Pancreatic Cancer Research and Friary Drop-In Centre based in West Bridgford, Nottingham.
Each year over 8,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It’s the fifth most common cause of cancer death, causing 5% of all cancer deaths each year.
The Friary Drop-In was started in July 1988 to provide support, advice and friendship for vulnerable people living in temporary accommodation. On average they see over 300 people a week with mental and general health needs, stemming from addiction, homelessness, poverty, unemployment, abuse, depressions, ill heath and family break-up.
We have already sold all 150 tickets!
