Thank you – £3000 raised for charity

Well everyone had a fantastic time at the Radcliffe on Trent Snow Ball held at The Grange on Saturday 1^st December 2012.

What a fabulous way to start celebrating Christmas.  Everyone made a huge effort and there was lots of glitz and sparkly dresses (and ridiculously high shoes – my feet ached for days).

The ‘do’ started at 6.30pm with a glass of champagne on arrival.

We then welcomed everyone and the party moved into the main hall for a tasty three course meal prepared for and served by The Tall Frog buffet & catering services based in Nottingham.

The nights entertainment started with ‘heads & tails’.  A fun way to get the crowd warmed up and creating a bit more money for the two great charities that we supported on the night.

The raffle was a huge success with lots of people receiving some great gifts.  Thanks again: Nottingham Panthers, Weavers of Nottingham, Gonalston Farm Shop, The Deli @ Radcliffe, The Royal Oak,  Cabs4one, Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club, Aurora Dress Agency,  Pipers Crisps, The Beauty Spot & Barrett and Coe Photography.

To surprise our guests we had singing waiters – this went down a storm!  Members of the band ‘Freddie’ dressed up and took on roles as waiters then entertained the audience for 20 minutes with a fabulous set.  The band then went off to change and continued entertaining everyone until late into the evening.

We raised an amazing £3000.  This has been split equally between our two chosen charities, Pancreatic Cancer Research & The Friary Drop-in Centre, Nottingham.

The evening was deemed a sparkling success – thank you very much to fellow organisers:  Judith Dobson, Diddy Roche & Kathryn Price.
